The kinds of interests I have in leading this congregation include the encouraging of an invitational, embracing, inclusive, open environment in which all people feel welcome and valued. The ministry at Valley of Peace is centered around Word and Sacrament-God's Word in Jesus Christ, our birth into God's family through baptism, and the nourishment & strength we receive through bread and wine of Holy Communion. We seek to nurture and strengthen people in their faith so that their life in Christ is an integral part of daily living.

I have served as parish secretary since 1989. I enjoy working with the people of Valley of Peace and supporting the council, committees, organizations, and other staff members in their ministries. My responsibilities include the joy of assisting Pastor Hallin in the pastoral care of our members.

Bob Gerber, Business Assistant
My responsibilities include paying all the bills and keeping accurate records of all financial transactions. I relate to the Treasurer, the Pastor, and the team responsible for financial administration.

Music Staff
Valley of Peace is privileged to have an exceptional staff of professional musicians. Together, they provide the highest quality of classical and creative music for the worship of the congregation. Because of the consistent quality of their musical offerings, you can, with confidence, invite a friend to worship on any Sunday and know they will be enriched and inspired. All God's Children Learning Center Staff
All God's Children Learning Center is an incorporated non-profit program which extends the ministry of Valley of Peace Lutheran Church. Our goal is to offer children a loving, caring environment where they can grow and learn, pray and worship. We are committed to the highest standards of excellence. Our center is licensed for infants through preschoolers, and we are open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.What makes us special is our commitment to offering a solid Christian environment in which to learn, and our excellent and loyal staff that is dedicated to the care and teaching of our children.

Committees - Volunteer Staff
Valley of Peace ELCA Lutheran Church is blessed with talented, wonderful, committed volunteers. Some of these volunteers are more visible than others; however, without all of them we would cease to exist. Sunday school teachers, technology wizards, choirs, musicians, servers, ushers and greeters are some of the people we see "out in front" on a regular basis.
Please check out the various committee pages and volunteer your time, we are always looking for more help. Send us an email if you would like to help out on a committee or donate your expertise on a service project.
