MISSION STATEMENT
Living in God’s love and compassion, we are called and sent by God to be
disciples of Jesus Christ, as the Holy Spirit works through us for healing,
justice and peace.
CORE VALUES
 | We are a worshiping community where God is experienced with joy and people are
united in mission.
 | We are a teaching community which equips us to grow in our faith.
 | We are a praying community, discerning God’s will for us.
 | We accept the Bible as God’s word and believe that it provides guidance for our
daily lives.
 | We nurture one another in faith, uphold one another in prayer, and encourage one
another in service.
 | We treasure excellence in music as it enhances our worship and spiritual life.
 | We create a safe place for accepting and encouraging children, youth, and
adults.
 | We honor elders for their contributions, wisdom and experience.
 | We believe in shared leadership where all can contribute from their giftedness.
 | We value intergenerational activities that create understanding and
appreciation.
 | We encourage the freedom of ideas and questions as essential to our faith
journey.
 | We provide opportunities, training and resources to our members and the local
community to care for our neighbors and work for justice.
 | We commit ourselves to reach out with the Gospel locally and globally.
 | We participate in and are part of the whole Church of Christ.
| | | | | | | | | | | | | |
VISION
 | We seek to grow in our relationship with God and one another.
 | We seek to become a congregation fully engaged in mission, manifested through
our discipleship in Jesus Christ.
 | We seek to welcome all persons into our congregation, making them feel at home.
 | We seek to reflect our belief that God has entrusted the gifts of priesthood to
the community as a whole, supporting and sharing leadership and ministry.
 | We seek to equip each other in identifying and serving our calling in society.
 | We seek to be organizationally flexible and open to the full utilization of the
gifts of our people.
 | We seek to engage in evangelism, sharing God’s love with all people.
 | We seek to exhibit justice against exploitation, human dignity against
oppression, hope against despair, and peace under the reign of God.
 | We seek to increase our sharing out of the abundance God has given us as we
practice generous stewardship of resources, time and talent.
 | We seek partnership with other congregations and agencies in developing programs
and solving problems.
