Chat 'N Chew
Do you sometimes wish you could visit with friends from Valley of Peace, in addition to Sunday, over coffee and a breakfast sweet?
This gathering is intended as a drop-in for a 'cup' and conversation about 10:00 a.m. on the third Wednesday of the month.
If you are out on errands, getting groceries in the neighborhood, perhaps just at home wishing you could have a conversation with someone, come on over to the choir room. Come as you are. The coffee will be on, and a snack provided. Join us. We'll be expecting you.

'Quilters' is an ongoing project which began almost 50 years ago, when the congregation was formed. The group has 5-8 women and they could increase their output with a few more members. Coffee is served about 10:30 a.m. Bring your lunch if you plan to stay longer past noon.

Back to topGulf Coast Mission
The Gulf Coast Mission Team has been formed to respond to the devastation of life and community wrought by Hurricane Katrina. Nine members of Valley of Peace congregation have volunteered to be this team. They will be working through the agency of Lutheran Disaster Response (LDR) and Lutheran Social Services.
The volunteers for this TEAM are giving one week of time and skill plus a share of their expected $650 of costs. Members of the congregation have offered multiple gifts to support this mission effort.
People offer a variety of reasons for volunteering to do such a project. “The cross is not only a symbol of what we believe and teach as a Christian community but is also a metaphor for what we are called to do with our lives. By our example, it is our intention to bring a message of hope to those whose lives are borderline desperate,” said Tim Hepner, the Team organizer.
